2,200 kilometres: The Race is On
British Group is proud to have been a sponsor of the 10th Annual Targa Newfoundland. Held this
year from September 10-17, 2011, this annual 2,200 kilometre (1,400 mi) long road rally is the first
and only event of its kind to be held in North America. Held over a seven-day period in September,
hundreds of high-performance vehicles from all over North America compete along the paved roads
of the eastern and central parts of Newfoundland, enjoying the speed of competition through
scenic coastal drives.
Supporting Targa NL has been an excellent opportunity for British Group to give back to our communities, and in turn, support other great causes such as The Autism Society and the Soldier On Fund. It is also a fabulous way for British Group to support our province's tourism industry as many drivers, crews, family members, and spectators flock to Newfoundland to enjoy this unique event.
